my macbook has been making a loud clicking growling sort of noise for the entire time ive had it. sometimes it doesnt do it it all, at other times its so loud i have to shut it off. ive heard that this can mean the hard drive is dying, but i recently had to take it to an apple store for a software problem and they ran diagnostics on it and said everything is fine.

what can it be?

the sound will usually eventually stop on it's own and it doesnt lag or crash as is usual when the harddrive is dying (that ive read)

but since i recently took it in to have the screen repaired, its been worse, could it have been something during installation>
