MacBook Pro - Project: MBP Internal Hard Drive -Upgrade to 1TB

So my current 160GB OEM drive is looking tiny these days. I want to swap out the drive and I found this Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB Internal SATA 3Gb/s NCQ 32MB Cache Hard Drive ST31000340AS

Looks to be compatible with my MBP is there anything to check out that would say otherwise?

Has anyone upgraded thier MPBs hdd before? is so...

how was the noise?
how was the power consumption? (my guess, won't even notice)

You might have trouble as its a 3.5" desktop drive.... try looking for a 2.5" * 9.5mm laptop drive

The only 1TB 2.5" drive is still a little large for a notebook, it's too tall.

I very well need a hard drive for my october 2009 macbook pro, and cannot find one. I only have 25.8 GB of free space left probably due to xplane v9
