Hello, I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer. As of yesterday, I notice my MBP battery charge percentage was in the red (got a message saying running low....), as I was about to get up to get put the charger, the battery charge percentage jumped from 21% to 52%, and this just happened again. I bought the MBP used back in December of 2008 and it really didn't last long on the battery, and I am noticing that it's lasting longer then before. It's a good thing, but I am just wonder why all of a sudden now?

Thanks

just my guess but the previous owner may have mistreated the battery. try running it down until your laptop turns itself off, then leave it like that for an hour or so, then charge it fully overnight. do that a few times to refresh the battery. also use Coconut Battery to get some stats and info on your battery.

Thanks for this info, I ran the software and the stats is it has been charged 217 times and the battery is 27 months old. I will try draining and charging the battery a couple of times.
