MacBook Pro - Arrangement tab missing on Display properties

Im new to Mac. Just bought a mac book pro> i'm trying to play a movie from the mac book onto my lcd but there is no signal. On checking on display properties, the tab arrangement is missing. Can anyone help in finding the arrangement tab ???

Mac Specs: 15" MBP 2.33 C2D 256 4GB, MBA 13" i7 1.8, MB 2.0 2GB, Nano 4th, 3GS, iPad 1

Most likely cause - not a good connection - disconnect and reconnect the cables.

You'll not have that view available until the Mac recognizes there is an external monitor connected.
