Macbook vs. MacPro help please!
 
Hello peeps,
Im about to buy my first "mac" laptop, after years i have finally gave in! I really dont know much about them. So here is my question. Im a DJ and i do alot of remixing, I also run Serato. Now i've come across a really good deal on two units. But dont know which to choose from or which is better for me! I was hoping yall could gave me a little help! thanks in advance!

Prices? The "best one to get" often depends entirely on money. Obviously the Macbook in Optipon #2 is much more computer..........with a 4" smaller screen.

The MacBook is a little salty for a first generation model - I'd be looking at maybe $575 at the most.

The Powerbook is just laughably overpriced. A 1GHz machine, despite the big display, should be less than $600 in my opinion.

I think so. The future is Intel, and the old PowerBook is a rather slow PPC. Neither machine is a bargain, but of the two you mentioned, the MacBook is a better machine in my view.

Again, that's an old PPC machine. The price is better, although the lack of a SuperDrive is concerning.

If you can tolerate Windows, I wouldn't see why not. If, on the other hand, you're ready for something new, OS X can be very rewarding.
