MacBook - Football Manager Game Not Loading

I have only just got a macbook and i tried to load my Football Manager 2009 game. It seemed to install fine but when i click on the startup icon it doesnt load. The icon will bounce up once on the dock and this is the message given in the log:

([0x0-0xc00c0].com.sigames.eur.FootballManager2009[1085]): posix_spawnp("/Users/dannycdannydo/Desktop/", ...): Permission denied

any help would be appreciated
