I am currently trying to decide whether i want to buy a Macbook Pro 15" unibody.

Apple has it for 2,299 after educational discount
PC Connection has it for 2,199 --> PC Connection - MacBook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53GHz 4GB 320GB SuperDrive

Would you rather buy it from Apple for the extra $100?
Would you trust PC Connection?
Is there a difference? Is it better to buy direct from Apple?

Thanks...

Well at PC Connection, the status of the MBP is 'On Order' - Plus you still pay $2,349 - you get a $150 mail in rebate with it, which puts th cost at $2,199.

Shipping is via 'Best Way' - Not sure what that is about.

Personally, I would go with Apple on this one.

Defenitely Apple store. Limit the ammount of headaches. There are just too many variables for an item that costs so much.

Amazon eats everybody. You get a rebate, no questions return, no sales tax. If you sign up for Prime for $79, you get free 2nd day shipping on everything for a year, and 1 day shipping for $4.

Amazon has good deals but if I were buying an expensive machine like a Macbook then I would only trust Apple's store. That's where I'm planning to buy mine unless I can get a discount from one of my dad's friends who work for Apple.
