MacBook Pro - Graphical Errors after extended use?

From time to time I get graphical errors on my MBP. It happens more and more often because I've been using Spaces in Leopard. Its completely unusable, but from time to time goes away temporarily but will quickly come back.

It destroys the entire UI, and any other applications launched are corrupted.

Here is an example of the type of graphical corruption I'm speaking of:

What MBP do you have? I think the older ones with a nvidia card?

I have the first rev. of the MBP. 2.16GHz with the ATi X1600, never had any problems with it thus far, which appears to be quite impressive for a first revision.
