sleep/hibernation problems

My ibook G3 700MHz will not turn back on after I close the screen and put it in sleep mode. When I lift the screen back up, the screen turns blank and I have to end up re-starting up the whole laptop. Also is there a program on this ibook where I can do a diagnostic check to make sure everything is up to par? I hope someone out there can help. Thanks. |
