Howdy Folks.
I use a Mac Book Pro (about 2yrs old) for writing and performing music. When writing I am often jumping between 2-3 different screens. I wondered if it was possible to hook up my MBP to a peripheral monitor (usually attached to my PC) to display another screen? If this is possible, how do I go about it, i.e. do I need specialist software to allow the mouse to jump from one monitor to the other. Probably a fundamental question but your thoughts, ideas, tales of peril would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

its real easy to. all you need is the dvi adapter that will have the right connection for you display. as soon as you connect another display it will reconize it and i think it automaticaly defaults to mirror your main display. in system prefs you need to change the position of the new display (which side you want it to be) you dont need any software at all since its all built in to OSX. here are some dvi adapters. remember that you want APPLE DVI to what ever the input is to you device.

Why not just use spaces? That way you can have multi screens on your laptop and you flick between them.

Depending on his monitor size, it'd probably be easier just to use another monitor if he's at home. I do, and it's much easier and more convenient.
