I sent my macbook in for repair I posted a thread previously about the fan being loud at start up. I received my macbook today and open the computer and there was some cosmetic damage done by them not by me. If it was done by me I wouldn't be so upset but I didn't do this. They did it while they were repairing the machine. And the fan is still loud at start up so I don't think they fixed the problem.

What can I do? Will they be willing to replace my macbook for me?

I'll post pictures below.

Contact Apple immediately. It's probably important that you document the damage right away (the same day). Will you get a new MB--I doubt it, but they should at least repair the damage without giving you a hassle.

I will contact them right after I post this reply. Lol. I'm afraid if I send it in for anymore repair it will look worst and worst. I'll call and post back for more advice!!

Thanks for your fast response! I appreciate it very much!

about to but then it's easier to explain in person and I would have to go there to drop off the machine anyways.

take it to the store and taalk to manager. I did after mine came back dented.

well my 2.4 mbp seems to have a bad logic board lower ram slot not functioning I brought it in to the apple store and they sent it out. Today I went to pick of up and I noticed a corner was all dented .They said they would sent it out again I hen spoke to a manger and expressed my concern of future problems. So he said they would exchange it. So I bumped up to 2.6 and 512 video and 200 gig hd. And now I'm the process of rranfering from time capsule . So far I have been very happy with apple support.

lilmill how bad was your dent? Was it more or less noticeable than mine shown in the picture? I'm glad things went well for you and they exchanged it for you. May I ask when did you purchase your mbp? And how many times have you sent it in for repair?

I took it back for repair and they sent it in again.
