Hello everyone,

if you'll allow me, I'd love to become the exception to the "there are no stupid questions" rule.

In summary, I have been up to no good lately and I suspect my recent midnight MacBook-baton, backyard-fence-hurdle relay dash may owe itself to the white "Apple" light on the rear of my Macbook's monitor. I'd like to know if it is possible, to temporarily disable this most stylish feature...only temporarily. Thank you.

Regards,

Chris

That light comes from the backlight on your LCD screen, there is just an apple cutout on the lid of the macbook with a clear white apple which allows the light to shine through so if you wanted to stop it you'll either have to turn your backlight off (not much help at night) cover the back with something or take the whole thing apart and put something in to stop the light from shining through, which will void your warranty.

Just out of curiosity, what were you doing? Sitting in someone's backyard using their unsecured wireless signal?

Now why didn't I think of something like that? I had to go write something long and a one liner says it all nicely done

I'm curious now.

Why not purchase a Hard Case for the macbook which covers the light?
