ill press down on it real good and itll look shut but then ill look over at it 10 or so min later and the lid is open.
how do i fix this?

One of my professors has a powerbook that he dropped down the stairs of his house. His lid would no longer shut also. His solution: two pieces of velcro on top and bottom and then a velcro latch to hold it down. Works for him; you might want to try it because it seems that your latch might be broken.

well his way of doing it with the velcro is a good idea if u did drop it, did u? if u didnt drop it then u can get it replaced or fixed by apple.
