Hey guys, waited for 3 years, finally this happened... I just split some lemonade onto my lovable Power Book G4. It happened before, but luck I had the Jelly Fish thing holding my Mac... this time, it went straight onto my touch pad area... still luck that I have the keyboard protector (you know that piece of plastic thing), so the keyboard is dry, but my concern would any of the sugar have gone inside through the keypad or the key there? Or any of the edges... I dry up and used a damped wet cloth to clean it right after and it is working fine now so far, but I am a concern when the sugar starts dry up, that's when I will have a problem... So if I don't have a problem now and let say in the next couple of days, does that mean the drink didn't mess up my Mac? Of is there is period that the sugar might start eating the parts? I am sorry if this is a super stupid question.

I was advised once to run the Mac under tap to wash off the sugar if such thing ever happens, but I guess this is for people who split a whole glass right onto the keyboard? my drink was nearly finished and nothing split onto the keyboard at all, just the keypad and its surrounding.

Thanks a lot.

if that sugar get in the hard drive your screwed so you might need to just hope for the best or take apart your mac orrr use air spray to maybe get it out of the cracks but that might drive it further in the machine.

do not use it stick it inside a plastic bag full of rice and leave it there, it will remove all the moisture.

hmm.. either my post was delete or I forgot to post... either way, don't use the laptop - put it in a dry warm place until it dries out.
