As we all know the new notebooks were unleashed today. So who is gonna sale their old MacBook or MacBook Pro for the new one? I love the silver keys on my last generation but love the glass display and touchpad on the new ones. I also am digging the two Nvidia GPUs. So, ebay here I come! I will be selling mine! Who else gonna do it as well?

Already ordered a new 15.4" MacBook Pro.

Just have to buy some patience now as 7 days shipping is going to kill me

Shall give my current MacBook to my housemate as she's often fluttered her eyes at it

I'm getting the 2.53 one, my current mbp is about 2 years old with no apple care. I am selling it on ebay while the old ones are still worth something.

they don't look as durable as the previous mbp 17" model, but I know that the solid core of aluminum should be more durable. But I WILL NOT go down to the 15" monitor that won't happen. I will but a 17" and store it for when my current 17" breaks down if ever if they choose to phase out the 17" monitor.

As a photographer, I am disappointed in the Glass only screen with no Matte option. Glare glare glare. Even in the keynote and online now, they seem to try and use the glare off the glass screen as a marketing niche. Also not a fan of the new MBP keyboard. I like the existing keyboard. Track pad seems pretty sweet though. Oh well I am perfectly happy with my current MBP.

Love the design, but not enough to make me want a new MBP. Also a bit disappointed about the Displayport connector and FW800 only option. Displayport is so new, there's very few projectors and monitors that use them. FW800 can be adapted to FW400, but why would you want to carry around YET ANOTHER adapter, just because Apple doesn't want to "mar" the design with too many ports. Irritating.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

What about the graphics cards in the MacBook Pro? How do you all think they compare to the 8600 that is in the last model?

Not interested, not buying. They're not that much better, I can't see any MAJOR differences that makes it worth switching. And trust me, I've read up on them.

I will be hopefully going to the store this weekend and picking up a new MBP. I will go for the 2.4 but the larger memory GPU is calling but I don't think I need 512mb.

I feel your pain. I've got to put in my order tonight or else the wait will only get worse. I just can't decide between the 2.4Ghz MacBook and the 2.53Ghz Pro!!!
