Mac Specs: 2.6ghz macbook pro with 4g's of ram
MacBook Pro - Battery problem
I have a macbook pro that is just over a year old and under the system profile for power it says check battery what does this mean?

It means that you have 173 cycles?
What are you looking for as an answer? Is there odd behavior that your MBP is exhibiting?

Since it says "Check Battery", there might be an issue, night not be. Check out this from

Battery Info From System Profiler
There's a nice post about making sense of the System Profiler battery information, especially when your battery isn't lasting as long as it should be

And let's see...
The Macbook Battery Problem announced end of April 2007. There's a chance you got one of the bad batch. That may be why you're getting the 'Check Battery' note. You might want to swing by
MacBook | Macbook Pro Battery Problem and have a read through. I know that as of 10/08 Apple continues to replace the affected batteries.
