I read about all the weird sounds that everyone is having trying to figure out why my MacBook makes a weird sound.

The sound I have is a very short springy error ping sound. Doesn't sound like it's coming from the speakers and sounds like some type of hardware.

I have Entourage setup to send/receive mail every minute. I noticed that every time Entourage send/receives the sound is made.

So, no that I have figured out what is making the sound...

How do I get rid of it?

Thank you.

Okay!!! I think I have it.

Go to your Entourage Preferences and choose to turn off sounds when there is No Mail...

Yea for me.
QUOTE Thanks
