hi. last night i left my macbook pro on downloading stuff while it was running on bootcamp/xp. when i came back the nxt day it was off. i dont remember if it was on sleep or not . i tried pushing the power button several times , in two or three of them i heard the chime sound but it was a bit weird and after that the macbook didnt turn on. i left it to rest and tried it an hour later again , it didnt work. i tried unplugging/plugging the memories and it work after that. May memory sticks be causing this problem ?
i have a 2.33ghz 17``macbook pro with two 1gb memory sticks installed. (the default memory sticks which came when i bought the macbook) |

a reminder - when i found the mac on that state (black screen / dont remember if it was off or on sleep) i tried to switch it on couple times. i heard the chimes sound but it was a really short one.it was something like when it was just about to play that chimes sound something was cutting off and stopping the sound on the half way. |

had another problem 10 mins ago.was watching a video on quicktime , dc was unplugged / it was running on batteries , and the macbook was on my lap.then it just suddenly went off. the battery was %20 left , i tried turning it on but didnt work. then i plugged it to dc and it worked. when it first went off , i thought it happened coz of the temperature as it got too hot on my nap , but then it worked when i plugged to dc. anyone got any idea about those two problems (the one on first post as well) ?

seems to have similair problem to otherzz, tried all the good possible ideas found on this great forum nothing seems to work. starts, chimes a happy chime but remains on the gray screen with fruitylogo just spinning away happily without ever starting.... Problems started out of the blue after crashing and freezing acoulpe of times till i had to force it to shutdown with the startbutton.
altough I really love my caddilacmac I,m seriously thinking of burrying it in the backyard... hope someone has a forgotten solucion nobody bothers to try anymore... feel like taking it apart and checking all the wiring, videocards, boosting the RAM und upping all possible drives and memories like a genuine dr frnkstn just to prove that its not died on me yet! ![]() anyone have a good link for online workshops on how to operate your MBP????
