When they say 60gb, they calculate that based on 1000 bytes per kilobyte, while the computer calculates it as 1024 bytes for per kilobyte, which means a hard drive advertised as 60gb really only has 55.8gb.
The operating system takes up a lot of space, there are some other threads about it where some people have said that the OS takes up like 10gb. Do you have iLife and everything? |
