    13" MacBook, 80G iPod Classic
    Oh hey that's a nice chime. Oh, there it is again. And, again...
    I restarted my MacBook and everything was normal until that wonderful chime was chiming again and again. They weren't complete chimes either, more like the last half of the chime. I pressed the return key a few times and it eventually stopped and continued to restart normally.

    Has this happened to anyone before? I can't seem to find anything on it from searching.

    If you have not left an external drive attached, sounds like you have an unseated or loose stick of memory.
