    iBook as a desktop machine...
I'm using my iBook lappy exclusively as a desktop machine - so it is being powered all the time by the mains.

Should I remove the iBook's battery whilst I'm doing this or is it ok to leave it in?

An occasional battery calibation will help it. Look here:
