Are the the Macbook/Macbook Pro glossy screens similar to CRT monitor screens?

I'd say CRT screens are more "glassy" (shiny) looking - the Macbook screen is slightly more diffuse than a CRT. When you have a sunny environment, the Macbook screen can be difficult to see clearly, but most of the time it is perfectly adequate.

You really have to see it to judge it. Try to check it out at an Apple Store or a best buy that carries Macs...
