How can I tell if I have a Santa Rosa or Penryn? I just bought my MacBook Pro 2.4ghz at the Apple Store in June of 08.

You can use System Profiler. To access, click on the Apple menu and then "About this Mac." Then click the "More Info…" button. The application can also be found in the Utilities folder.
