power book and file vault issue

Hello, well, I was using file vault and decided to turn it off for a while. Now my available storage space says 13 GB instead of the 40 i had before! This happened right after I turned it off. It also sounds like the powerbook is running hot, the fan is on and I hear some churning going on like it is perpetually working.

It also is running alot slower, about 2 x as slow as normal.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it would be much appreciated.

Nevermind, after 4 re boots it fixed itself.- thanks.-m3
