My grandfather is getting his PowerBook G4 upgraded, but because it's too old, the Mac shop won't buy the parts. So he has asked me. What sort of RAM (512MB) do I need for the said PowerBook? Preferably somewhere that can deliver in the UK buy the end of the week.

Thanks.

P.S. Some links would be good

Crucial are pretty good for finding out what you need.

http://www.memorybits.co.uk/ seem cheap, but I've not bought from them before.

There are some options out there who's credibility is low, I recently bought some RAM for my powerbook AL G4 12" from here... its DDR1 memory.

This is what mine was.. however you can change the spec of the machine to your own just to make sure... hope this helps!

sorry, just to add crucial are one of the best memory companies around, and are VERY VERY reliable. I've used them a few times and never had ANY problems, as have others i am sure!
