MacBook - MacBook Won't Display Anything On Screen!!!!

I Have A Macbook, When I Tried To Start It Up Yesterday Nothing Came On The Screen. It Does Make A Noise. I Know I Left A Dvd In There, Is That The Reason Why It's Acting Like That?

To get the DVD out at least, when you boot it up hold down the mouse/click button on your touch pad as its booting.
