Hey, I have a white macbook(3 months old) and my girlfriend just got the new(er) black one and it has the dvd burner in it where mine does not. She never uses it but I need it so I'm always using the the desktop so I'm wondering how hard it would be(if it's possible) to switch them.

Don't do it as the swap will void both the warranty for your MacBook and your girlfriend's BlackBook. If you really need a DVD burner, suggest you purchase an external USB and use that instead.

Regards.
