I got my macbook about a month ago and ever since I have gotten it I have hated the keyboard. The right side is unresponsive and I have to push the keys very hard. The entire keyboard feels squishy. I have gotten on other MacBooks and the keyboard felt very different and nice.

The closest Apple Store is 3 hours away and I dont mind going there if I know this is an issue they can fix in store. Is this something they can fix in the store or will they have to send it off?

No I didnt but from what I understand it is under warranty for a year the apple care just extends that......so it doesn't matter if you have it for the first year.

oh right, sorry im a little tired today. anyways, i think you could just take it to the Apple store and they'll replace it. I dont know 100% on that, though. im guessing that they should, since it's under warranty.

I would call Applecare and the Apple store before you drive 3 hours. they might not fix it in store and just send it out. Which you can do yourself and save $4.00 a gallon on gas.

My friend had a similar problem on his older macbook and he took it in..They took his laptop for 4hours and they put on a new keyboard for him..I would just take it in but you probably should call first.

I think at the end of the day I think it boils down to what the Techs feel like doing.
