I'm using a PowerBook G4 and can not get any sounds to play.

I've tried restarting several times and for whatever reason sound still does not work.

when i go to turn the volume up or town on my keyboard the normal icon appears but is shadowed and has the X icon as well.

I went into system preferences: Sounds and all the sound options are shadowed as well.

When I click on OUTPUT it says: NO OUTPUT DEVICE FOUND
When I click on INPUT: NO INPUT DEVICE FOUND.

What's is going on?

Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.
QUOTE Thanks
