I'm starting college next year and I've already decided to get a macbook. But I also wouldn't mind doing a dash of gaming on the side using boot camp or cross over.
Here are my current desktop specs: Pentium 4 1.8 ghz 768 RAM Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB And I can run source games (half life 2, TF2) but barely. The macbook I'm getting is the middle white model with DC 2.4 ghz with 2 gigs of ram and the X3100 video card (i believe its 144 MB) Would I notice a significant upgrade in my experience? Also, classics like Diablo 2 run like a dream on mac as well right? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks |

Thats a huge step up in terms of raw power, the integrated graphics tho aren't so nice, but should be comparable to your old 9600.
diablo II has an OSX installer, but I don't know how well it will run under OSX 10.5. Do some research about it on google. The macbook will work well for occasional games, but don't expect miracles.
