Now as the new iMac came out with the new processor, anybody knows about any rumors about a new more powerful MBP? I mean, compared to other customizable notebook PCs on the market it seems somewhat short of features in terms of HDD size, video card etc. I know macs need less resources and perform better than PCs but I mean, if the new iMac has a 3.0 MHz processor it means that apple is aware of people looking for powerful systems right? Anybody heard anything?

Have a look in the rumours forum, there's a whole thread. Basically, nobody knows anything cos Apple is keeping this one very quiet (as per).

The things that I have heard from this forum and other outside sources are that Apple will release a newer Macbook Pro during the Quarter 3 (Fall) time.

The upgrades, design, and everything else are still unknown. Even the release is unknown.

Just need to wait and see.

A 2.8 or 3.0 MBP with at least an 8800 will be awesome

Right now there is speculation that almost everything is getting updated in June: MBPs ,MBs, iPhones, etc. You can't really trust any of it. The most you can hope for is a mild processor upgrade and hopefully better graphics.

But, in case you're reading Steve, A Black MBP would be much-appreciated!

What about the iPod touch, is that rumored too for an upgrade? I think it needs nothing upgraded, other than maybe more gb's but I think that's it...

As for the iPhone, I read that it was gonna have a smaller screen and a plastic back instead of the aluminum alloy... that sounds like a "downgrade" for me...
