MacBook - Apple MB402B/A MacBook White 2.1GHz

hello.
I have finally decided to buy macbook rather than normal laptop. However i have i have to make another decision, which macbook to buy. I have decided to to go for the cheapest one which is Apple MB402B/A MacBook White 2.1GHz for 699, as i am a student i am not particularly rich.
I was wondering if this is a good decision or bad one if so why ?
thankyou.

That seems like a good decision. I have the white macbook as well with the 2ghz C2D. I run XP through Vmware Fusion and it runs perfectly fine as well as Solidworks running on xp (a CAD program) SO it basicly shows that your 2.1GHZ will do fine. But the first thing i did to mine when i got it was upgrade the ram to 2GB so i suggest u do the same if your planning on run some memory intensive apps.

I think he meant 'normal' as 'bad Dell'.

I would put the extra $$ to have a DVD burner and larger HDD. I know you're a student and might be on a tighter budget, but the extra you get or the $$ it worth it! Whatever you buy: enjoy your MacBook! I have been a "PC" user all my life and switched to Apple 4 months ago...never regretted my decision!!

Yes I have the exact same one you are talking about and it's worth it. The hard drive is big enough for me and I don't need to burn DVDs on this Macbook.
Also get the AppleCare when you do buy it.
