MacBook - iMac built in isight camera light stays on

I have MacBook, and the iMac built in isight camera light stays on.
I am not able to switch it off.
Camera is working fine, and every thing is fine, but when i shut down, only then iam able to switch the green light off.
can any one help me with it?

Okay macbook and iMac are 2 different computers.... But have you tried shutting down and restarting?
