keyboard marks on the screen

I think that other people have this problem too, you keep your iBook closed to carry it around and when you open it up there are marks all over the screen from contact with the keyboard. My question: Is it just dirt from me not keeping the keyboard clean? or Are these permanent scratches that have formed? Also, what should I use to clean it.

A damp sponge should clean it fine. I also bought one of THESE to keep it from happening....

Or just use any old bit of non-abrasive cloth that'll fit...
