    many Mac minis make a maxi?
    What would be the benefit(s) of linking two or more mini macs?

    In applications that can access other Macs over the network using XGrid you could utilize the other processors to do calculations for you.

    In practise however that's limited to video applications such as final cut for rendering and scientific apps:
