Mac Pro - Can I use both an NVidea 8800 GT and a ATI 2600 XT in the same Mac Pro?

I have one of the new Mac Pro's which has a ATI 2600 XT video card and for adding a 2nd video card I'm interested in knowing if I can add a NVidea 8800GT. I will be eventually running 3 monitors off of this computer. Would this setup work?

In theory, it should, as long as the machine can power both cards (and I don't know that it can) Whether it will or not, I can't say for sure... ATi and nVidia graphics cards don't always cohabitate very well. I doubt anyone has tried it, your only option may be to try it and find out.
