I'd get the 20" 1.8 with 2 gigs of RAM because its top of the line.

But my pockets are empty.

well, I ordered the 20inch model. I left it stock except I added the BlueTooth and Upped the RAM to 512mb. I didnt see the need to buy any of the other options and/or more memory when I can get them for cheaper. Basically I got the 20inch because I wanted as much room to work with on the desktop without being overly crowded and I also got it because I will be watching movies on it and its just much easier using a 20inch over a 17inch IMO.

It's a silly question. The decision will be almost solely based on the budget.

This iMac is so cool, I mean most people want a flatscreen nowadays anyway...

My mum has a small desk, 1/2 of which is currently taken up by her desktop & 17"Crt monitor.

Stick a Keyboard in front of that and that side of the desk is full...

With the iMac, she could actually use her desk again...

I have a 20" FP iMac now and I love it. I'm so glad I didn't get the 17". Go for the 20"!!!

Nice, I know it all comes down to what you will be doing with the iMac that determins what size you get. I just wanted to see how many people on this board use the 17" or 20"
