Hi, I have a G4 Digital Audio 466mhz and I want to upgrade the processor. I have seen a G4 700mhz on ebay for $60. Can I use this one or is it not compatible?

You cannot just swap processors from a higher spec machine

There are proper processor upgrades from Sonnet and OWC but they are typically $200

Sorry, what I should have said is that it is a Sonnet Encore G4 upgrade card.

is it a PCI card or a daughter card

The Power Macintosh G4 (Digital Audio) models have the processor mounted on a custom 300-pin daughtercard.

Considered going up to a Sonnet/OWC upgrade and running Leopard?

1GHz upgrade start from about US$160.00. My Mercury Extreme 1.3GHz runs Leopard no problems.
