Okay so my 1 year warranty is nearing its end this coming october and I'm debating as to whether or not I should opt for Apple care extended warranty. From my understanding apple owners are allowed to buy apple care up until the standard 1 year warranty expires.

For student pricing my apple care would cost 140 bucks CAD.

Is this something that should be purchased or can I be safe to say that the failure rates of the white imac 20" CD2's are pretty reliable?

My mac is hooked up to a network server grade UPS and the computer hardly gets used. I don't move it around and its kept very clean.

Suggestions?

iMac Woes

In other words, go for it. Its really nice to have say a DVD writer replaced just cause it doesn't write to Sony disks or the keyboard replaced cause some keys have gone a bit hard to press (apart from major issues like display or motherboard)
