I can't find a single post on the Internet saying the power supply smell problem has been solved for them. :-(
My Mac Pro is here in my mainland China office and I really don't want to lug it back to Hong Kong for repair until i am sure at least one person got this problem successfully fixed. My worst nightmare is to lug this ultra heavy computer only to have them keep it for a month and not have the issue taken care of. (I called Apple and they will replace the PSU but there is no service center within 200 km of here on the mainland and even if there was, you cant really trust a mainland service center to do the repair in their depot. My only option would be to lug it back to Hong Kong.) :-( Can anyone confirm that they successfully got this fixed? -Tim |
