I think this is going in the right place because I believe hardware may be the issue.
I have a moedm (speed stream 5200) hooked up to a router (Netgear RP614 v2) which splits my internet to two attached computers (a G4 400Mhz and a Dual 2.7 Power PC). Both computers are receiving an internet signal via DHCP and the computers can see each other over the file sharing network. They are getting some web pages, however if I try to log into a site (like webmail) the connection freezes up. If I switch my computer back to connecting PPPoE and try logging on everything is fine. Is my router messed up? Is it a Mac setting? Is it a router setting? Firewall or something? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance. john |
