iMac - iMac G3 boots fine, but no startup sound.

Mac Specs: iMac G3 "Snow" 600mhz G3 Processer, 256mb of RAM, 40gb hard drive, and Mac OS X Jaguar (10.2.8)

its sound is all the way up. in the os i can hear through the speakers fine. the system is fine but i miss the Duuunnnnhhhh at startup. problem occured after tryin to connect a external(generic pc) monitor. HELP! i miss the sound SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno about that problem, but why/how were you planning on connecting an external monitor to a iMac G3??

theres an external vga connection beind a panel on the back. the monitor never worked on it.
