    Specs:
Mac Pro 2.66GHz Quad, 1GB RAM
PCI Gigabit Desktop Adapter for G4
Would a 500mhz G4 detect and use this without any supplied drivers?

Thank you all for the help

The D-Link page for that doesn't specify Mac OSX, so it's a crap-shoot at best.

    ok thank you.

Im looking for a different one that I know will work with the powermac. However I noticed that some say 2000 Mb and others say 1000 Mb.

I thought gigabit ethernet was only 10/100/1000?

Wow thank you, that second link will help greatly.

The first one is very expensive.

I think i'll get one of these

According to that site, these work well with it.

Lastly I plan on using this in a Powermac G4 400 mhz sawtooth, with the SATA pci card. Will the computer even be able to push the data through at 1000 mb/sec with that CPU?
