Hi everyone,
I've posted in these forums and have had really helpful replies, so thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
I'm doing video editing using FCP on an older G4 and want to get a Mac Pro. (pant pant drool drool)
I"m wondering what the best system set up is- for feature length projects, corporate stuff, FCP and after effects.

-Should I go with the quad or the 8-core- does the difference in speed really make a difference?
-How much ram, what video card, how many GHz would you recommend?
-Does it make sense to buy anything refurbished and has anyone had good experience with reputable sellers?

Of course all of these things are really expensive, so I'm trying to figure out what's really going to make a difference in the editing room as opposed to just pretty bells and whistles.
thank you so much!!
QUOTE Thanks
