Imac Serial Number

Is there another way to view the serial number from the G4 Imac, the number on the base has become unreadable and need to get this information .

Any help appreciated

Go to the Apple menu, select "About This Mac" Click "More Info" The serial number should pop up in Apple System Profiler, near the bottom on the right.

Or, go to about this Mac, and press on the version number twice.
