Yeah, its late, but it just arrived (its 10PM??).
My new Mac Pro £8,500 for the following: * Two 3.0GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon * 16GB (8 x 2GB) * NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 512MB, Stereo 3D (2 x dual-link DVI) * 250GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s * Two 16x SuperDrives * Both Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme * Apple Keyboard & Mighty Mouse - British (wireless) * Mac OS X (English) * Apple Cinema HD Display (30" flat panel) * Apple Cinema HD Display (30" LCD) * Five USB ports * Two FireWire 400 ports * Two FireWire 800 ports I deserve a good computer Its also about £600 less because it (along with the displays) smells slightly smoky. Its absolutely amazing! Although I probably won't be able to get a new computer for the next century (although part of it was from a distant aunty who left me cash :O) I'm flogging my old iMac at the mo btw. |

Best comment yet
![]() I think I'm going to let video/photo/audio editors hire it, they can just bring their media and hook it up in my front room (which looks very proffessional, just the MacPro, the iMac and a projector in there with white walls). I'm broke now until my pay cheque comes :O Knowing my luck, a brand new technology will come out tomorrow, outperforming my Mac Pro by many miles and it'll be cheap! |

I wouldn't worry too much. Even when something does outperform it, it'll still be one smokin' fast computer. My dual-core G5 got outmoded pretty fast but it still beats the #$%^ out of all my friends' computers. "Luck favors the prepared" |
