iMac - iMac g4 20" How much ram?

does anybody know how much ram a 1.25 ghz 20" iMac g4 can support? some websites say 1gb, others say 2gb. does anybody have one with more than 1gb in it??

iMac Aluminum 20" 2.4 ghz 2gb RAM 300gb HD
iMac 20" Core2duo 2gb 250gb
Macbook White Core2duo 2gb 80gb
Powermac G4 dual 450

I would think you can fit as much as it can can possibly hold. Check what speed RAM (PC3200 or PC5400) it takes and how many slots it has (most likely 2). Then find out what the largest capacity is made for that speed of RAM. I would think 1GB. I will assume it will hold and work with 2GB or RAM. (All of this should be easily found on Google.

Could you please go to the Blue Apple icon in the top left and click on "About This Mac". Then in the window that opens, click on "More Info" and then in the window that opens, in the left pane, click on Memory and post back here with the RAM specs installed.

Mac Specs: 17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3

Mactracker has all of this info in it. It's the hardware bible for Mac in my opinion.

2GB is the MAX memory and you'll need PC2700 DDR.
