Recently my iMac G5 17' (Rev. A) has been booting up into the console instead of the graphical login window. (Black background with white lettering.) It asks me my login and password and it logs in alright, but it's just that it's still in text mode.:closed: When I type "logout" it logs me out and goes to a light blue screen for a couple seconds, and then dumps me back at the text-login prompt. I've reset the PRAM and NVRAM thinking that might help but apparently not. Any ideas as to how I might be able to get aqua starting again?? Thanks a ton.
