OS X - iMac G3's Hard drive spinning up every 4 mins.Dunno what's going on, but when I leave my iMac G3 alone (when it should shutdown into a powersaving mode) and it did when it had OS9.2 on it.
Now for some reason, every 4 mins the drive spins up, for about 2 mins then spins down again.
Meaning the mac will never go into standby.
Any idea why this might be happening?
Thanks

Oh, seem to have got it working again, but could have been a number of things.
Ejected a few progs/icons from the desktop and also unticked the box about drives spinning down when poss.
More testing methinks. At least it's working again. Phew!
