iMac - Ram installing?

The ram I bought will not show up, I got it from Crucial using their helper thing.

1GB, 240-pin DIMM Upgrade for a Apple iMac (iSight) System
Followed all instructions...

What happens if you remove the 512mb module and only use the Crucial module? Does the system boot and show 1gb as present?

Did you click when you put it in? I'm guessing you didnt completely seat it. It goes in hard, dont be afraid to push a little harder.

You can't remove the 512 module. Its soldiered to the Logic Board, only the one slot is user accessable on the iSight models.
